Windows, Manual Installation
Windows, VirtualBox virtual appliance (preconfigured image in .ova format)
What you will need
- VitualBox, a virtual machine player.
- putty, terminal emulator.
- Preconfigured VirtualBox image with Debian.
Do this
1. Download and install VirtualBox
2. Download and install Putty.

4. Open this file.
5. Click Import.
6. Select vm1 and click Start.
7. Wait for vm1 to boot.
8. Launch putty, enter localhost into Host Name (or IP address) field and click Open.
9. Type in user1, <ENTER>, 123qwe, <ENTER>.
10. Congratulations, you are now logged into vm1!
Linux
- You already use Linux, what else do you want? Joking, you may follow windows guide fairly closely or just experiment on your live system, but with discretion.
